Labor Day weekend Joe and I took a mini vacation up north to the West Coast of Michigan. But before we drove up to Michigan we went to the first Notre Dame game! It was so so cool! After the game we drove up to Michigan.
I absolutely love Michigan. I think we are going to try to move there. The West Coast of Michigan is stunning. Lake Michigan is so beautiful and the best part, No Salt. No Sharks. The towns up the coast are so similar to New England and California (especially Carmel) it's eerie. There are lighthouses, boaters, kayakers, farmers markets, artists. We went to a town called Saugatuck that is exactly designed like Carmel, California. There are multiple artist shops, the water, cute cafe's. We also went for a beautiful wooded hike that led to a sandy beach of Lake Michigan. It was breathtaking. Holland Michigan is designed similar to Boulder, CO. The streets lined with delicious restaurants, chocolate shops, cape code style furniture shops. I absolutely loved it. We ate amazing food and drank delicious micro brew beers and kayaked and walked boardwalks that led to lighthouses and ate amazing bbq from stands on the road and stayed in an amazing eco friendly hotel called City Lights in Holland and lots more. Loved Loved Loved it.
Hopefully we can move there in the near future. Grand Rapids is the closest big city and it has three P.A. schools so I'm stoked.
