umm..was that an EARTHQUAKE?
Central Cali got an earthquake last night around midnight and another one around 8pm tonite. The 3.5 earthquake struck about 10 miles outside Hollister and was felt from Prundale down to Monterey. Salinas is close and many of Joe's patients and coworkers felt it. However, Pacific Grove wasn't affected. A local told us that Pacific Grove and Big Sur don't feel earthquakes because of the granite from the coast. Hmm..don't know if that is true but if it is, lucky us!

hmm...when it rains it pours
So, I think I am a walking black cloud.
Here's what's been going on in the last week. I have to post cause really all I can do now is Laugh
1. Lost my wedding ring. Dropped it in the gear shift in Joe's mom's car and my Dad and Joe took the car apart to find it and it was gone..Bummer but it wasn't the engagement ring! Thank GOODNESS!
2. While packing the car to go to the airport, Joe lightly brushed up against me and tapped my glasses..they snapped right in half
3. The RV got impounded while we were gone. We were going to check on it Sunday night when we got back into town but were to tired to drive down the road. Well if we did, then we would have seen the parking ticket and notice to move it. However, we didn't and the next day they impounded it. Drove down the road and had to double check my eyes cause the thing was gone! Had to pay police to get a release then pay impound to get the car out by 5:00pm. If you want to get it out after 5pm they charge you an extra $90. Joe works till 5pm 45 mins away..haha. so with some good luck, got the RV and parked it on the street, picked up Joe and brought it home.
4. Someone got ahold of my credit card number and charged $600 to our account. Investigation pending..
5. Went over to relax and have a beer with neighbors. While outside, tripped over his glass and it shattered everywhere..
6. Little things like, no parking spots at grocery stores, long lines, library system down when checking out books, then its up and working and then paper jams, slow drivers, ya know just little things that make you go UGHHH
7. Outrageous amount of money for a talking on cell phone while driving/no headlights/no insurance card present ticket.
8. Joe lost his key to his work office. So he asked his coworker to open the door cause he has an extra key but his coworker's car blew up that weekend and he walked to work, therefore he left his keys at home. (insert punchline here) So Joe and I had to drive around to his other employee's house at 7:30 am for the key...
umm..8 is a good enough number...but hey if this list is our troubles, then we are very blessed to have the health and love and humor to write this. Happy New Year everyone and much love!

PS will update if needed but lets hope not :)
Happy New Year!!!
Hey Ya'll!
Hope your Christmas and New Year was wonderful!
Joe and I flew into Indianapolis for the Holiday and spent some lovely time with his family. We spent Christmas Eve at his Grandparents house, eating and watching the little one's open their presents. We spent Christmas day opening presents with the fam and then went to the Johnston's for dinner. We were going to leave Sunday to head up to NY to see my parents but a huge snow storm delayed our plans. But we ended up leaving Monday afternoon and got to NY late Monday night. We spent a few days visiting with the family and limited time with some friends.Didn't get to see everyone which is always a drag.. Mom took a day off from work, so we got to spend some nice time together. Of course, Joe and I went into New Paltz for some deserved Mexicalli Blue burritos. We also spent some nice time with Trav, going for walks down to the river. My Dad got a motorcycle!! We got to see that and hang with him. I miss them :(
Joe and I took a nice day to ourselves and went into Beacon. We were gonna head to NYC but we were spent from all the traveling in the last couple of days. But gosh do I miss the Hudson Valley. We watched a glass-blowing demonstration, walked around town, drove towards to mountain, parked the car and walked to the train tracks to view Bannerman's Castle. Can't wait till the summer to rent Kayaks and photograph that castle, it's breathtaking. Friday morning, Mom and I went to Cafe Aurora to buy pastries and italian cookies for Joe's family. It was really nice and hard to say bye..
We drove back to Indianapolis on Friday and got in at night around 11. Joe and I watched the ball drop and went to bed. Saturday we said our goodbyes to his fam, had a yummy mexican dinner and called it a night. Sunday we departed and am back in Cali...back to the grind kiddos..We are gonna hit up Tahoe in a couple of weeks to snowboard (thanks to Travis giving Joey Bear a board)
How was your holiday??
