Community outings

Our street is lit up like pumpkins at night
Us at the football game
Friday Night Lights...our team lost tho (bad! 41-7..ouch)
We went down to the beach and fed the ducks..

Friday night we went to the high school football game at night. It was really fun. The stadium and track is crazy! An all weather track and astroturf for the field. It's professional (ha!).
Saturday we rode our bikes to the gym, had a good run and lift then went out to dinner for a burger and fries on Cannery Row at the Brewery. After that we went to the local theater and saw The Town with Ben Affleck..It was a pretty decent movie, have you seen it?
Today we watched the morning football games, went for a bike ride, came back and made nachos and clams with garlic and pasta and watched more football games...yum yum:)

How was your weekend?

Happy Fall!

Let the apple crisp, acorn squash, pumpkin picking, apple pie, halloween, birthday celebrations begin!
Oh how I will miss the leaves changing colors this season. Dad says he will keep a few leaves for me when I come back in November....
It's changing here as well. It got dark last night around 7:30...Joe and I looked at each other and said "summer's over"..not that we really had a summer in the first place.

Any-who, enjoy it Mid/East Coasters...the Fall is just lovely to see.

Joe and I flew home to Indy last Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. We spent two days in Indy spending time with family and eating good:) Friday morning Joe, Dave, Kenny and Drew flew to Chicago (Drew's a pilot) and Linda and I drove to Chicago. The boys went to the Dave Matthew's concert at Wrigley Field Friday and Saturday night. Linda and I spent some quality time together. Friday night Linda and I went to Sono, a restaurant that Jordan (Joe's cousin) wait's at. The food was sooo good. We (Linda, Joe, Dave, Drew, Kenny and I) spent Saturday visiting the city by going to Navy Pier and spending time with Jordan's parents, brother and roommate. That night Linda and I went out to dinner with Laura and Chris and Colin. I had a yummy burger (caramelized onions with blue cheese).
Sunday Joe and I wondered around Michigan Ave, got some good food, watched the football game and flew home to Cali...Now back to the grind..
Hope all is well xo

Lake Tahoe!

Joe and I celebrated Labor Day in Lake Tahoe and ooh how beautiful it was. The mountains are as huge as Colorado and the Lake is like Lake George in New York. It really is the best of both worlds. You can hike, ski, snowboard, snow-shoe, bike ride, run, all water-sports, ice climb, mountain climb...you get the point. It's my new favorite place.
We stayed at Harrah's casino located at South Tahoe (Nevada border!) and got in late Friday night. Saturday morning, we got breakfast and went to the lake and caught some rays. After that we walked around the town and saw all the great shops, North Face, Quicksilver, ski/snowboard shops etc. There is also a gondola in the heart of the town that brings you to the BASE of the ski mountain! Once you get to the base, you then take lifts to the ski runs. The elevation of Tahoe is about 6,000 and change. We weren't aware of the high elevation until we had a couple of drinks in us, or shall I say I wasn't aware of it because I got sick. And I only drank two glasses of wine and was done for. Ha.
So Saturday night we had a couple of drinks, Joe gambled, I got sick and had take in at our hotel. As lame as that might sound, it was really nice to just lay low. The next day we walked around town and took a drive around Tahoe. We had a delicious lunch at a waterfront restaurant (marinated clams, cheese quesadillas and french dip tri tip sandwich, YUM). After lunch we strolled through town then went back to our hotel until the fireworks began. The fireworks were spectacular! We watched them from the beach. They were lit off of a barge in the middle of the lake and lasted for a good half hour. There were fireworks in the design of smiley faces and hearts. It was very cool. After the fireworks, Joe and I got a drink and a small meal and hit the hay. All in all it was an awesome weekend. I can't wait for us to go back and go camping!!! There is camping right on the beach~
Any-who, Hope your weekend was great. Danielle and Jess left this week. Sad about that :( but really happy for their upcoming adventures in Portland!
Back to the grind people, cleaning, laundry, Joe's Bday Celebration!!!, Internship, Photography course...yada yada.

the story of going blonde

f.y.i.
So a while back I said I was dying my hair blonde. Really wanted to, realllly wanted to but my hair stylist out here said that bleaching my hair would ruin my hair. I was pretty bummed but I really trust her, she's really good too. So she just put some honey blonde highlights and red in my hair. It doesn't look blonde, but my locks are definitely lightened up.
Joe likes it, so that's all that matters :) *aww...barf!

I love my sugggggiiii

I love him so much and I get to kiss him every day:) what a lucky girl I am..
So cute :)
*oh my lil model
*joey is soooo cute!!!

Totally cheesy post but in honor of the almost bday boy I thought I dedicate a post to him.
He's my world and I can't wait to be his wife. Happy almost Birthday baby

look who else came to town!

Danielle's sister in law, Jess, flew into town last Wednesday. They are on a month long trip from California to Portland. It's very exciting! and so nice to have them here. Last night was the first night I got to really spend some time with Jess. Jon Lewis came to town last Thursday and then we all went out to dinner at the Fish House, which by the way is the best place to eat ever! The girls had this honey almond crusted sea bass dish and I had home made pasta with shrimp scampi yum yum. The boys had some other delish fish dishes *don't remember*
Anyway so Joe and I went away to Lake Tahoe (next post..) and we got back last night. We were surprised by a basket of gifts for appreciation of letting Jess stay! We got wine, chocolate, wine glasses with chalk!, a wine cap, and best of all!!! A coffee pot with coffee and mugs!!! It was the best present ever! Thank you!!!
After a mini xmas, Jess, Dan and I went down to the Warf and got some beer's and chowda. I love Blue Moon, such a good beer.
Anywho back to the grind of things, laundry, grocery shop, clean, internship...
Hope all is well..will post Tahoe soon

look who came to town!

Jon Lewis was at a conference in San Fran and dropped by for a day/night. He came down Thursday and we went on a 6 mile bike into Monterey. We then went out to breakfast at First Awakening and Jon had wheat germ strawberry pancakes! yum yum.
We then went to Big Sur and went on a huge hike. It was awesome!
After that, we came home, got ready and went out to dinner with Joey, Dan, Jess, Jon and I. It was probably one of the best meals ever.
